Bopp & Reuther Sicherheits- und Regelarmaturen GmbH and C.H. Zikesch Armaturentechnik GmbH are part of the IMI Critical Engineering Division.

1872

Carl Reuther, together with Carl Bopp, founds a special factory for manufacturing pumps and heavy-duty valves.

1900

Bopp & Reuther supplies 60% of the world's water gate valves. A water supply plant large enough to supply an entire city can be produced at the factory in the Waldhof district of Mannheim.

1932

 

Entering measurement technology opened the way to the development of the oval wheel meter. With this high-precision liquid volume meter, Bopp & Reuther engineers succeed in inventing a basic measuring device, which is still highly regarded and widely used today in many different versions and applications.

1951

Introduction of safety valves including patented pneumatic control.

1980

Introduction of control valves with and without safety function.

1990

Division into 3 parts: Water – Measuring – Safeguarding and Control.

Since 2006

Bopp & Reuther is an independent company on the growth track.
